Hereditary Chief

Adam Eneas

Leading in the Flag Parade, Adam is of the snpintktn (Penticton) people. His Grandfather, Soorimpt, was the first to come in contact with the settlers and the missionary, Father Pandosy. At 83, retirement is not an option. Adam is often called to share words at various functions across the Okanagan Nation.

Welcoming our racers to snpintktn, Chief Gabriel 

has devoted his past career and most of his life to the Penticton

Indian Band and is recognized as a strong leader both within his own community and

throughout the Okanagan Nation.

The Highwater Singers are a family drum group from the Lower Similkameen Indian Band who have been singing together for the past 35 years.  The group have traveled across Canada and USA performing at Pow Wows.  They have also performed in Africa & Chile.

Muralists

We have custom built a beautiful gantry, which will be donated to the communities they are used in.

Levi George, local muralist is painting the indigenous artwork on our finish line gantry in Penticton.
