Expedition Canada competitors are required to carry mandatory items to maximize their safety during the event and need to be familiar with the event logistics for AR races.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

It is the teams responsibility to ensure all items are on you.

Expedition Canada is an unsupported race as well as a ARWS qualifier and has adopted the mandatory gear list set out by the Adventure Racing World Series.

STORING YOUR FOOD & EQUIPMENT

Teams will need to plan and pack all their equipment and food into easily moveable storage boxes:

​

3 x stackable plastic boxes per team.

The organization will provide these boxes to teams. 

 

Weight must not exceed 25kg per box.

STORING YOUR BIKES

4 x bike boxes. 1 per team member. Bags of any kind are not allowed. Boxes must be stackable and rigid. They must be waterproof.

 

Size requirements: 140cm x 80cm x 30cm max weight of 30kg

Race officials will move the boxes, bike boxes, and paddle bags around the course.

STORING YOUR PADDLES

1 x paddle bag for packraft sections (max weight of 25kg each max).  All paddling gear will be supplied for the canoe section.  No bag required. â€‹

RACE SUPPORT 

There will be no support crews and no outside assistance permitted at any stage during the race.

If you have friends and family who wants to cheer on your team they can apply to be one of our amazing volunteers (see the volunteers page for more information).

RACE RULES & REGULATIONS

Expedition Canada is a ARWS qualifier and we follow the standard Adventure Racing World Series rules of competition. These can be found here. Please ensure you're familiar without these prior to the race start. 

INTERNATIONAL & TRAVELING TEAM INFO
